The AMICAL, built in Dordrecht in 1914, is the last preserved Belgian steam-powered towboat. The steamtug was altered in 1951 to perform agitation dredging works in the fairways and near the locks of the port of Antwerp. The ship was taken out of service in 1965. The tug still houses a complete steam-powered equipment , with a coal-fired Piédboeuf boiler (1943) and a triple-expansion steam engine.
