Description
Junk for the transportation of passengers. Model built of planks on transverse bulkheads. Flat bottom, fore slightly rising and continuing in a flaring, stretched swim head. Aft the bottom ends in an upright flat transom. The sides run beyond the transom, so that a rudder well is formed, transversely planked above, for a flaring swim head. Straight, flaring board. Along the greater part of the length, a triangular beam, narrow edge pointing downwards, probably a breakwater, preventing the waves from washing over deck. Strong sheer. Short, steep fore cuddy board up to the fore bulkhead. In the cuddy board a hole for the mud anchor. Outside the heads, a gangway running almost up to the stern. Outrigger with thole pin. Cabin with arched roof in bamboo matting. In the wheelhouse a raised cuddy board. Balanced rudder with sloping, straight back. Standing lug with one broad and two narrow cloths.
