Description
Block model of a fishing boat. The drawings on the forebody represent a lotus (symbol of purity) and a peony (symbol of wealth) respectively.
Excavated block model with transverse bulkheads. Flat bottom, tapering fore and aft, rising in a crook to a broader swim head. Angular bilges, flaring board. Sternwards rising sheer. Forebody with thole pins for 'sao'. Stern having a horseshoe-shaped transom, stern closed off below, open above. Transverse transom timbers. Flush deck with quarter deck, stem beam, small hatch, tabernacle, foremast and mast beam, long hatch with halfway a transverse windlass from board to board. Mast beam in front of mainmast, two hatches. Three hatches on quarter deck. Thole pin for 'yuloh' on transom timber. Rig: foremast raking forwards, sail missing; mainmast with slight backwards rake, stayed, sail of uncoloured cotton cloth. Forebody decorated with red floral (?) pattern and circular pattern, painted leaves on the stern.
