Ship model of a cargo junk. The character on the transom means ‘good fortune, prosperity’.
Excavated block model with transverse bulkheads. Athwartships straight bottom, fore and aft longitudinally strongly rising; fore ending in a strongly raking angular swim head, aft in a rising horseshoe-shaped transom. Rounded bilge. Bent sides. Moderate sheer. The hull is divided into eight holds with loose countersunk deck. The two rear bulkheads are higher. Gangway with high side coaming. Planking and side coaming end in two wings beyond the transom bulkhead. On either side five dented stanchions for three roofs of bamboo matting. One steering oar. Swim head and transom painted.
